What's Love Got To Do With It? When it comes to having a full happy life, love has a lot to do with it. And I'm not talking about that gushy heart pounding love. That is important but honestly you really can't embrace that someone special or even find that someone special until you start at the beginning. The beginning of course is yourself, trust me you can never let anyone love you until you love yourself. Sounds easy but it really isn't, not when you get down to that place of unconditional love. You know those moments, when you look in the mirror naked and see all your imperfections. It is very hard to love yourself at that moment. The thing that most of us forget is that perfection doesn't exist at all. Hell even if it did, where's the fun in that.

Sometimes it just feels good to embrace your uniqueness. The things that make you memorable, weather it's a smile, a nervous joke, a nice booty, etc. Everyone has a little somin' somin' that makes them special. If we didn't have all the outside influences telling us how we "should" be would we ever consider second guessing ourselves? I suppose there's always someone or something out there that can negatively affect us and make us doubt who we are.

I read this kick book ("The Mastery of Love") a few years ago and it really did impact my thought process a lot. The main jest was that every decision is based on either love or fear. Did you marry that guy that totally doesn't fit because he asked and you were afraid if you said no, you'd be alone forever? Or did you say yes because you felt a heart full of love? I so could list a ton of examples. Even things that you don't think fit, if you dissect them down to the very base level, it always goes back to that one place.

I took the theory a little farther and realized that all the regrets I have in life, you know those moments you wish you'd get a "do-over", well I found that all my regrets were derived from the decisions that I made out of fear. That touched me very deeply and impacted all of my decisions from that point forward. The regrets I take with me leave such a bad taste in my mouth that I am constantly motivated to try to live my life with no regrets. That means taking that risk/chance. Leading with my chin and sometimes feeling like I lost the battle. But when I'm standing at the threshold of a difficult decision, all I have to do is remember how painful my regrets are and it's a lot easier to leap and fly. It's only the first step that's scarier than hell. After that you just have to see how it plays out.

So Amore, well it really must start at home!
